Description: UnitedHealth Group is presently looking of Vice President, Clinical Operations - Las Vegas, NV right now, this vacancy will be placed in Nevada. Develop and implement the strategic plan for SMA aimed at supporting groups, financial, clinical and customer service goals in conjunction with! physician leadership.

2. Responsible for development and management of the SMA budget and key metrics for all units. This includes outside sub-capitations and specialty claims.

3. Evaluates proformas and analysis for new business opportunities including the addition of new specialties, services, or facilities.

4. Oversees implementation and maintenance from an operations perspective of SMA's computer applications including electronic health record, digital radiology, and practice management system.

5. Develops plans for employee engagement including, staff development, training, mentoring and performance management.

6. Develops marketing strategies aimed at improving SMA's market share and revenue growing.

7. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies, processes and procedures.

8. Develop two-way communication systems to ensure constant feedback between all parts of the org! anization as well as outside consultants and vendors.

! Position is responsible for the operations of Southwest Medical Associates clinics, surgery center, and ancillary services. Position is accountable for collaborating with physician leadership to improve quality, cost and patient service and the financial and operational performance of the SMA multi-specialty group.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, and/or related field required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Minimum eight years successful leadership and management experience in a health care facility required.

Knowledge of capitation, physician recruitment, and contracting managed health care systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management.

Knowledge and experience in a managed care environment. Understanding of federal and state regulations and compliance issues.

Strong leadership and organizational skills and exc! ellent communication skills. Strong ability to develop people. Strong sense of integrity and ability to command respect of patients and employees at all levels.
