We are looking for a BioSurgery Regional Sales Specialist, which is a direct sales position within the BioScience Division of Baxter that produces BioSurgery ! products used to promote hemostasis, wound-sealing, and soft tissue repair in cardiovascular surgery. This position will concentrate on cardiovascular, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery products and procedures. The RSS is responsible for driving new account development and/or expanding existing accounts including current and future BioSurgery products within an established geographic territory. The BioSurgery Regional Sales Specialist will be responsible for:
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers including surgeons, nurses and operating room staff.
Developing and implementing sales strategies with focus at the local and regional levels to defend and expand product portfolio.
Maintaining and increasing on label usage of Baxter products through presence in the surgical suite, in-servicing and educational presentations.
Monitoring product sales and work closely with Marketing, Customer Service and Customer Ope! rations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Provid! ing feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommended product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
Attending regional and local Surgical Conferences.
Providing feedback regarding product simplification and standardization to enhance profitability of sales line.
Work closely with other sales representatives to increase penetration of products in accounts.
Job Requirements:
Individuals must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it. Familiarity with posted territory strongly desired.
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant medical device/healthcare sales experience within an operating room environment.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in Cardiovascular and other surgical specialties. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
Proven sales perfor! mance and the ability to manage a large territory required.
