Project Specialist - Administrative


 

The USC Dornsife Office of Graduate and Professional Education (GPE) is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting staff member to join us to be the Project Specialist for the GPE unit of the Dornsife Dean’s Office. The Project Specialist for GPE can positively impact the lives of our Ph.D. and Master’s students on a daily basis. Are you interested in the coordination, development and execution of programs and events? Are you adept at data collection and analysis? Is significantly contributing to educational endeavors one of your core beliefs? If you can answer yes to these questions, then you are likely a good fit for the Project Specialist position. Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of administrative projects for the College Dean of Graduate and Professional Education (CDGPE) and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs.
  • Coordinates graduate student data collection, performs analyses, and creates reports for the Dornsife Dean’s Office (Graduate and Professional Education), the Graduate School, NSF, and WASC etc…

    Support and represent Dornsife’s Office of GPE with graduate programs and, as appropriate, at recruiting events (e.g. SACNAS, ABRCMS, and USC Graduate Schools Fair).
  • Assist with website and promotional materials for the Dornsife Office of GPE.
  • Assists in developing and updating department policies and procedures and/or project procedures and coordinating implementation for the Dornsife Office of GPE.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise: Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Experience with research projects.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $29 - $36.
