Excellent Opportunity for a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to establish a solo private practice with competitive income guarantee or ! to be employed. Full benefit package available, including paid malpractice, CME, paid time off, major medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc. Sign on bonus, student loan assistance and educational stipend negotiable. The patient case mix will be primarily spine, with some general Ortho required.
The hospital is located on a 50-acre campus, and is a beautiful $40 million state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2001. With 127,000 square feet, it features 75 all-private acute-care rooms, 5 OR’s, and an adjacent Medical Office Building. The Hospital is an integral part of Northeastern Nevada and the only acute care hospital within a 200-mile radius. State of the art equipment and a high technology emergency room. Heliopads, kidney dialysis center, diagnostic imaging center. The hospital also serves as a teaching institution for a Nursing program and a Residency / Medical Student Program. The community is comprised of two towns (population 18,000) and (population 11,000)! which are only ten miles apart and they are the largest popul! ation concentration of the total county whose underlying population is just over 48,000. Physician reimbursement is better than average, with no HMO presence and modest discounts being sought by commercial insurance payers. There is a relatively small percentage of Medicare (as a percent of the total population) and Medicaid averages about seven percent. The younger population is generally covered by very good insurance plans. Payor Mix is approximately 50% commercial (3rd party). Low Malpractice Premiums!
