Post by Jobing - Follows established departmental sterilizing procedures at all times to clean and process instruments. Organizes and maintains placement of no! nâ€"sterile and sterile instruments per department guidelines. Cleans, assembles and locates specialty instrument trays, endoscopy instruments, drills, etc, as requested and per established guidelines. Assures instruments are properly cleaned, inspected for damage and/or wear and assembled and wrapped for sterilization.
Identifies instrumentation to be sterilized by sterrad processing, steris cold sterilization, and chemical or steam sterilization per established guidelines. Demonstrates of safety, operation and quality control of sterilizer. Follows all blood and body fluid precautions using PPW per established procedures 100f the time. Assists with control of instruments inventory as requested.
Employee has willingness and ability to perform additional duties in different areas of the department/hospital on an asâ€"needed basis. Communicates well with management, coâ€"workers and physicians, reporting problems with equipment, supplies, or procedures. Con! sistently strives to understand, anticipate and meet the needs! , expectations and satisfaction of patients, visitors, coâ€"workers and medical staff. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
