POSITION SUMMARY: The University of Nevada School of Medicine Integrated Clinical Services clinical practice is currently seeking a dynamic Practice Manager in the Pediatric Department in Reno. Not just! a manager but a leader to promote and execute a quality service practice. Currently there are 4 primary physicians and one allergist with potential for growth.
The essential responsibilities of the position are to oversee the management and administration, provide leadership to staff and providers and to achieve the operational goals of the office. This includes staffing, patient relations, personnel management, establishing and implementing operational policies and procedures. This position will supervise staff to ensure efficient workflow and performance to achieve outstanding customer service and maximized productivity. Must be able to work as a team member in a matrix environment.
This position requires working knowledge of HIPAA, safety/OSHA, personnel management and supervision principles, and the revenue cycle. Must have excellent computer skills; knowledge of revenue cycle and finances; ability to communicate effectively and independently; demonst! rate good organizational, conflict resolution, and analytical ! skills; and, be able to problem solve. LPN or RN preferred. Working knowledge in EMR preferred.
The Pediatrics clinical practice is one of the University of Nevada School of Medicine's more than 40 medical and health care specialties state wide. The medical school physician practice is the largest in Nevada with doctors and surgeons practicing and teaching medicine in Las Vegas, Reno and throughout the state.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in related field with a minimum of 1 year healthcare supervising office staff, or
Associates degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years healthcare supervising employees, or
Minimum of 5 years with supervisory/management role in a healthcare practice.
