Gastroenterologist - Physician - (Gastroenterology) Locum Tenens
Sta! rtDate: 12/30/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to cover as soon as credentialed for 1 year with the option to extend for an additional year. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. No Call. Diagnosis, treatment and education of patients with Gastroenterology disorders for both inpatient & outpatient. Supervise and education of resident physician & medical students. Initial evaluation & therapy of acute & chronic problems; diagnostic & therapeutic upper & lower endoscopy procedures; assessments & treatment. *Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. Site uses computerized medical records system.
Gastroenterologists(locum tenens) are physicians who have specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of medical issues associated with the digestive track, including organs such as the esophagus, stomach, liver, intestines and pancreas. Gastroenterologists are well versed in knowledge pertaining to the movement of food through the body and receive extensive training in endoscopic procedures and imaging.
