Warehouse Receiver


 

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary. Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates). Maintain quality of merchandise by verifying and keying sell-by dates and recording temperature to verify compliance. Processes incoming freight for receiving by verifying accuracy against purchase order (PO) and bill of lading; placing tags appropriately on freight to designate location for placement; moving and handling freight using powered equipment; researching and resolving stray freight; and processing paperwork. Ensure all receiving documents are signed by verifying against receiving system (for example, Receiving Dock System (RDS), Global Logistics System (GLS), Global Distribution System (GDS)). Competencies An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position. Slotting - Follows company policies, procedures and guidelines to handle and process freight. Provides slotting services, and handles slotting requests and issues in a timely manner. Processes and submits paperwork, creates and maintains organized files, and identifies and resolves discrepancies in slotting records or files. Reports incorrect or inefficient processes and improper service procedures related to the slotting area and its products. Operates powered equipment safely and correctly. Maintains a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance. Customer/Member Centered: Serve the Customer/Member - Shows care and concern when serving our customers/members. Asks questions in order to understand customer/member needs. Uses policies and information in order to exceed customer/member expectations. Finds and uses the right resources (people, products, tools) at the right time in order to resolve customer/member requests. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $31.05 per hour

  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
