Description: St Rose Dominican - Siena is at present recruited REGISTERED NURSE - N - MED/SURG 1ST FLOOR / JRU SIENA right now, this career will be placed in Nevada. This unit cares for primarily patient who had undergone total Hip, Knee and Shoulder Joint Replacement, besides w! hich medical-surgical, OBGYN patients are admitted in the unit. Joint replacement center has recently been certified by the Joint commission which is noted to be the first in Nevada and all of the CHW hospitals. The Joint Replacement program consists of a dedicated team members including Surgeons, Physician assistants, Joint replacement coordinator, nursing team comprising of Nursing manager, Joint Replacement program coordinator, charge RN’s, RN’s and CNA’s, unit secretaries (Currently there are 25 RN’s who are certified Orthopedic Nurses) dedicated physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists. Here in this unit it is all about patient safety, patient satisfaction, team work, collaboration. For those work here it is a home away from home.

Job Summary:
The registered nurse employs critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients. Registered nurses use this critic! al thinking process to apply the best available evidence and r! esearch data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment. Nurses continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes. Medical/clinical knowledge, technical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice. All registered nurses practice within the scopes and standards of practice set forth by the American Nurses Association. Additional Professional Organizations may be referenced when appropriate to guide practice and standards within the work place.

This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Experience
Minimum - One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute care setting or successful completion of applicable clinical and d! idactic SRDH specialty training course(s) or program.
Preferred - One (1) year acute care experience, preferably with an orthopedic focus.

Education
Minimum - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Licensure
Required: RN = Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
CT CPRBLS = Basic Life Support CPR.
Preferred: Certification in Specialty Area.
