University of Nevada School of Medicine Integrated Clinical Services Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a Medical Assistant for the Patient Care Cent! er for our Surgery Department.
The main responsibilities are to assist the professional healthcare provider with the administration of direct and indirect patient care. This position will perform basic medical assisting procedures necessary in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician(s).
This position will provide support to all clinic functions which include but are not limited to back office funtions, answering phones, scheduling appointments, rooming patients, medical records/chart detail, patient education, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements: For full consideration, candidates must meet all of the criteria below.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certification or five (2) years related experience required
- Current CPR certification and State Laboratory Certification required
- One (1) year of experience performing Medical Assistant functions! preferred
