Inpatient Setting
The small community located in northeastern Nevada, offers great views of the nearby Ruby Mountain.
Toppin! g out at 5,060 feet in altitude, the high desert area hosts several parks offering plenty of recreational activities.
History buffs find two museums that explore the culture and history of the people who call the American West home.
General "Bread and Butter" Surgeon is needed due to growth of community.
This is a fabulous permanent opportunity for the surgeon who would like the opportunity to stay busy and keep their skills sharp while enjoying the wonderful location and all of the outdoor recreation it has to offer. Ideal candidate would be one who is self directed with a wide range of procedures that he can offer. Candidate could also do, though not required, some vascular, thoracic, colo-rectal, plastics, etc if wanted.
Scopes while welcome is not required. Laparoscopic skills and training highly desirable although not required.
Call is 1:3, there are 3 other surgeons in town. Prefer private practice but open to hospit! al employed salaried model with full benefits.
Signin! g bonus, relocation, student loan (if appropriate), marketing, practice management (depending on contract type) are all offered on a case-by-case basis. Residents and Fellows, B/E, (If coming out or recently out of training), B/C, MD, DO, FMG's, and Visas with strong communication skills are acceptable candidates. No locums needed. GMENAC NET NEED = 1.8. CSA- Patients are currently being seen from communities as far as 2.5 hours away.
Communities being drawn from include: Ely, Tuscarora, Jackpot, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, Eureka, Wendover, Wells, Crescent Valley- all located in Nevada.
Hospital has 5 OR's, 64 slice CT Scan, 1.5 Tesla MRI, Cardiac Cath Lab, and other digital gee wiz stuff.
No locums needed.
