The physician will perform the required examination or provide the requested opinion necessary to make a decision on a veterans' claim for service-connected disability. The physician will take into consideration all information including lay and/or medical evidence, statements of the claimant, claim file review, and any competent evidence that the claimant has a current disability, or persistent or recurring symptoms of ! disability that might be associated with the claimant's military servic! e. When required, the physician may provide consultation throughout the VASNHCS.

Work Schedule: Full-Time QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Physical Standards: Applicants must meet physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to placement is required. This is a designated drug testing position. After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use. You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the following:
Basic Requirements:
Must be proficient in written and spoken English
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree ! resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
