Job Purpose and Impact
The Communications Officer will help execute communication tactics within a variety of channels to reach key audiences and meet specific communications objectives. In this role, you will work with members of the communications team to distribute communications and track performance using common tools and procedures. You will help communication partners with a variety of communications including, managing logistics of small events, large meetings or team town halls, sending and tracking newsletter performance and updating internal intranet sites. You will display familiarity with internal and external communications to reach various audiences. In this position you will have an important role for the Cargill Bio Industrial activities as the chemical plant is located just next the city center of Gouda. Key Accountabilities
Receive instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles. Create and maintain communications strategy for the manufacturing site in Gouda, including (social) media strategy. Use existing procedures to produce consistent and on brand communications. Both internally as well as externally Develop business acumen to understand the company and its stakeholder. Interact with communications team and within the location in Gouda, as well as with external stakeholders like local city council, Dutch Chemical association (VNCI), direct neighbours, universities and schools. Handle issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Conceptual knowledge of fundamental communications theories, principles and practices
Good verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English
