Surgical Technician / Tissue Processing Technician

Location: Reno Nevada

Description: Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring Surgical Technician / Tissue Processing Technician right now, this occupation will be placed in Nevada. More details about this occupation opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Description:
Performs any combination of tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist the surgical team.

This particular position is be! ginning at the end of April and is a 6 week assignment with possible extension. Traveler's: Please ask about stipends.

Responsibilities include:

• Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
• Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
• Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
• Aids team to don gowns and gloves.
• Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation.

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist training program with subsequent certification in surgical technology.
• (Tissue Processing Technologist â€" only) Prefer a degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current CPR card.
• Current PPD or C! hest X-Ray.
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable! )
