Under the direct supervision of the designated coordinator, demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment, ! nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Develops and participates in the care plan of the patient.
Collaborates with surgeon and other health care professionals for an optimal surgical outcome.
Assists surgeon with positioning and functions as first assistant intra operatively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1.
Graduate from accredited school of nursing.
Registered Nurse licensure in the State of
Nevada
or current interim permit.
2.
Current ACLS and BLS certification.
3.
Has successfully passed the hospital medication test at time of hire.
4.
Comfortable working with computers.
5.
Successful completion of didactic from a structured course in first assisting.
6.
Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR).
7.
Five (5) years perioperative experience as both a scrub and circu! lating nurse.
8.
Has knowledge of surgical a! natomy, physiology and techniques related to operative procedures.
