Physicians Assistant - (PA) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 06/03/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
The Air Force is loo! king for a qualified and committed Orthopedic Physician Assistant to assist with seeing the troops and their familes at Nellis Air Force base outside of Las Vegas
Can have any state license that is unrestricted and current.
Malpractice coverage is covered by the government.
Must have 24 months experience in the last 36.
Must have completed a Orthopedic residency or internship(practical experience will not suffice).
Must have a current basic life support card and a current fee paid and non exempt DEA.
Will be working in an out patient setting seeing 6-14 patients per day from 730-430. This will be on a monday thru friday schedule that does not require overtime or call.
Provider will be required to be first assist and in clinic as well.
A physicians assistant (PA)(locum tenens) practices medicine under the supervision of a physician and/or surgeon. In addition to a bachelor's degree, a physicians assistant must complete 2 years of accredit! ed training. They are trained to provide patient care, diagnos! e and treat individuals with injuries and illnesses, and administer treatment.

Nellis Air Force Base is located just a few miles away from Las Vegas. The base has a rich and distinguished history, being home to the 57th wing of the Air Force Warfare Center. Nellis is responsible for training some of the US AIr Force's most decorated units. When not engaged in training or duty, residents can take the short trip to Las Vegas to enjoy many recreational and entertainment options, making it an ideal location for both leisure and work.
